Travel and Accommodations

Travel

Participants in the COV&R 2010 conference will find easy access to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. From O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, one can fly directly to South Bend Regional Airport. A bus (Coach USA) also runs every two hours between O’Hare International Airport and Notre Dame’s campus.

From downtown Chicago, one can also take the South Shore Train around Lake Michigan to South Bend Regional Airport, a fifteen-minute drive by car away from Notre Dame’s campus.

Travel time between Chicago and South Bend by bus or train is approximately
2 hours 20 minutes. (Please note that travel time from Chicago to South Bend appears to be an hour longer on the schedule, because of the difference in time zones. Chicago is on Central Standard time and South Bend on Eastern.)
